Axel Dench - Waste Of Space?

I'm not normally someone who says someone's a waste of space this early on in the season but I really see no reason to have Dench in the team. He just doesn't have an inside game and we don't need big men to shoot 3s! We've got Maher, Davidson and Chappell and all out other guards for that. It's good if a big man has 3 point range to go along with his inside game but it's not good when that's all they can do. What can Dench possibly contribute? Perhaps the Sixers management should get nasty and get rid of serious underperformers before things have already gone down the toilet.

Last night, Dench had 14/10/3 in 24 minutes off the bench. Adelaide are in a position with Coops, Ballinger and Mottram to not need massive games from all of these guys every time yet Dench has delivered both of the last two outings.

In fact, in 19 MPG this season he is bringing almost 10 PPG at 50% from the field and 50% from outside (which is a true percentage of 66%, right?).

first people rag on chappel, then its phils fault were losing, now dench is a "waste of space" after a huge 2 game round. There are some very negative fans out there, this erly in the season.Sixers run an offensive team, always have. The big men perimeter shooter works well for anstey and melbourne. Not that he is anywhere near as good as gonzo, but anything is better than last season?
