Do we know for a fact whether the voting on NBL.com.au determines who goes in? Doesn't actually say anywhere (that I could find) that the first 6 or whatever vote getters will get a shot.

Okay, just had a more thorough look round and answered my own question. I think they need a brief sentence on the front page above or below the poll explaining that the top 6 reach the final, at the moment it just looks like they're doing a poll for the hell of it.

From the thirteen nominees, the top six shooters as determined in a fan poll on the official NBL website, nbl.com.au, will make up the final six players who will compete in the Three-point Shootout at the NBL All-Star Game.
Is in a link on the front page just to the right of the poll.

I really didnt know if he wanted to be there, wasnt sure if impacted on his game and training time etc. or if it was something he had to do
