Brenton Higgins post game
Was anyone else their when Higgins (spelling?) came to the restaurant after the game?
Came to talk to fans about the future of the club. He basically spoke nonsense, trying to win people over with generalisations. "We have plans which you will see hopefully gain 1,000 more fans a game..." said a lot of stuff like this without revealing anything of substance.
Following his nonsense was an onslaught by some fans telling him like it is, from ticket prices, to the food selection, ("the food is s---" I believe was the quote followed by all round applause). Someone also attacked the lack of marketing when funds are going into replacing the chairs and refurbishing the restaurant in the new catering deal. Higgins laughed off the speech basically saying he wonders too as the seats seem fine to him.
Seemed to be a PR exercise more than listening to fans, but hopefully it might be a start of an outreach to fans. Was quite fun to see management getting confronted by angry fans.
Maybe some more people should get up there and tell him how it is.
