Mavs Owner Cuban Says No to Trade for Kidd

I've just read an article on ESPN.

Mavs Owner Mark Cuban has told many media outlets that his team will not make a trade for Jason Kidd before the deadline.

He understands he'd have to send away multiple players to get Kidd and is not willing to do that.

He's happy with the current teams, believes them can improve and will stick with the team.

Where will Jason Kidd go now or will he be stuck in New Jersey?

Is this a bit like an AFL CEO coming out and offering his full support for the coach only to sack him the next week ? Can we believe anything Cuban says ?

Hooray for a sudden outbreak of common sense.

Although, qualifying it with "before the deadline" doesn't rule out making a trade offer at the end of the season..

I'm predicting a last minute panic attack by the Nets GM on the day of the trade deadline that sees Kidd end up in Cleveland in exchange for a couple of nuff nuffs.

Happy with the team? They scored 24 points in the second half today...and all that with Nowitzki, Howard, Terry and Stack (all scoring machines). Not even against detroit or someone good but the Sixers dammit!

Thorn is no Isiah thomas, he won't trade Kid for just anything. He will either get near to full value, or some cap releif and young prospects. Trouble is no one wants to trade for a mid 30's PG who is earning $20 mil. Not many teams can absorb that kind of cash without gutting their team.

I say he will just stay in NJ.
