Bynum Expected Return Not Until 1st Rd Playoffs

Andrew Bynum isn't expecting to return to the Lakers team and line-up until 1st round of the playoffs.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3300705

How will the Lakers go?

Can Gasol and Bynum gel together without any regular season action together?

Your thoughts?

"Can Gasol and Bynum gel together without any regular season action together?"

they have had a fair amount considering mid season trade and both put up 25-30 each game and play well together.

Anon - Bynum has been injured since well prior the Gasol trade. They haven't played together at all.

Not yet we aint Kobe

We still got 15 games left....8 of em against .500+ teams

The only thing in our favour is that 10 of our 15 are at home

Chalk in a loss in a few days time....we have Utah in Utah.......they are tough to beat at home

Lakers will make it into the playoffs. It all depends if Kobe can continue playing with his busted pinkie.

gasol & bynum have not played together yet due to injury. Be interesting to see how they play. Either swap rotate from the bench or Bynum @ centre and Gasol @ PF together.

Lakers are a team worth putting money on.

nothing drives me more insane than people reffering to their adopted teams (probably because of one player) as 'we' and 'our'...man...

Jules, what is wrong with someone saying 'we' when talking about their team? I don't know about others, but I have been supporting 'my' team for years, and not just because of one player.

Let me guess though, you're allowed to say it because you are a 'true' fan?

Jules, tends to happen when fans congregate and associate based on their shared appreciation of a sports club. Might have to get used to it if you're going to frequent sports forums!

I completely agree with you Isaac, I dont mind it then

Its just I have a couple of mates who barrick for Cleveland now (have been for bit over half a year) only because Lebron and when we get together and they say 'we we we' it just drives me crazy. Its that its an adopted team and it just sounds so forced. Its fine for local clubs or the sixers for example because its kind of a patriotic thing, but apart from that I dont like. And Ive been a Raptors fan since I was 8 and have never said we. Thats all, its just me

Jules i can say i have been a Lakers fan for over 20 years

From the 80's Cooper, Kareem (later years) Rambis, Byron Scott, Thompson, Worthy...and so on days

Same can be said for the Wildcats & my beloved Blues, and Liverpool...lol

Since he has been on the Miami and Cleveland bandwagon, even going as far as purchasing a Lebron Singlet

It shits me

Its like being a Carlton supporter and coz i like Simon Goodwin or Roo and wearing that

I feel ur pain Jules

Lakers are definately a team to put money on. The versatility and skillset of their front on both ends of the floor with Odom Gasol Bynumn and Turiaf is hard to match. Pair that with one of the game's true elites, and an experienced pg who is a proven shot maker and has been there many a time before. Gasol Odom Kobe Fisher and Walton all have high bball iq's so should cope just fine with Bynumn slippin back into the rotation.

A mate of mine dropped $100 on them as soon as he heard about the Gasol trade, they were paying $18 for the Championship. They are now down to $5!

With Gasol, they'd be a chance and I considered it myself, but is anyone else wondering if Detroit might just be able to shut down these other teams?

At least you support one quality team Fez...

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

I'm hanging out for the game against Arsenal...
