Woolacott Medal

Since it's the time of year where most teams know who's in finals and who isn't, it time that people have starting talking about the most exciting night on the BASA calendar the Woolacott Medal! Is there any chance that this years may be an improvement on the last few years eg somewhere central (the city for a random suggestion) and maybe a little more organized? Since this event only happens once a year, it is a good time to catch up with everyone, but having to get kicked out of the function room at 10pm only to have to line up in the cold afterwards puts a bit of a downer on the night! Probably a little to late with organizing (and a little to early with finals to go) to get to worried but thought I'd just throw it out there!

I agree... City would be much better, and then 'lining up at The Grand' wouldn't have to be the only option.

Cayla Francis for the Halls no doubt, must be the obvious favourite in years and the standout of the comp. Mia newley second.

For the men, should be Burdon's medal if Reardon doesn't take too many of the votes. Peter Hoban should also be in the top three. Todd Matthews, Kane Oakley and Keith Krause also have had standout seasons. Cam Wilson the darkhouse IMO, not to many off his teamates will rival him for votes but don't think Woodville ahve won enough games. History shows in the Wollocott the winner is often from the top three sides.
