Croatia v Boomers - Game 2

Boomers lost to Croatia in their second game this morning 82-81.
AUSTRALIA: Anstey 12, Mills 11, Kendall, Newley 6, Bruton 11, Worthington 2, Saville 2, Andersen 2, Ingles 5, Redhage 6, Barlow 17, Neilsen 7

Not sure why they would have lost when they are only missing Bogut now. Maybe Goorj was resting some guys like Anderson.

Goorj may have been trying some new stuff out as well. After all that is what these games are there for.
Croatia are a good team and like us will only continue to get better.

Could it be the Aussies were done by the local refs? Doesn't look like Andersen played as the aussies lived from downtown and only went to the line 11 times. Maybe that's why the foul count was so high?

Mills 9 from his 11 points from three's!!
Barlow had 15 from his 17 come from three's!!!

They certainly did live and DIE from beyond the arc!

if those stats are to be believed, nearly half their shots where 3 pointers. something like 30 of their 64 shots were 3 pointers.

you can only guess what happened but maybe Croatia zoned and conceded the 3 point shot. If that is the case then Andersen could not have played much, because as a 54% 3point shooter/zone buster for Moscow, you would think he would be part of a zone offence.

Can someone find another writeup of the game?

Reality check for the Boomers. They might be just 'trying stuff out', but the level of the competition at Beijing will be very high (and Croatia/Greece etc are yet to even confirm their spot!)

Or maybe it's because Croatia are a good side and we played well to beat them in the first match.

This form guide is pretty meaningless. We are a completely different team with Bogey. May be an obvious statement, but needs to be said. It would be close to rating Germany's form, without Dirk playing, or Russia's without AK.
