SBS to Telecast Boomers/Opals Matches

Recently someone posted on here and requested we write to SBS requesting better basketball coverage of our aussie teams.

I have received a reply from SBS and I'd like to share it with you. Perhaps some of you have received the same also.

Dear *****,

SBS has included both mens and womens basketball in its Olympic coverage, with coverage of the sport on most days of our Olympic broadcast. Keep an eye on the TV guides closer to the Games for further details

Seven will be showing every Aussie game and will be showing some of the big games too - all the USA games, quarters, semis and the medal games for men and women.

SBS have the games they aren't showing, they have the schedule up on their website.

Previous olympics Australian Games have been in the guide, but I was dissapointed when they would should the first half and then cut to some other "more important event".

Or they would cut back and forth between the basketball and other events.

Lets hope it is different this olympics.

Looking in the media guide, 2 of the Boomers Games and All Women's may be shown in near full.
The other Boomers games we may be lucky to get 10 minutes..or is that near full for them?

Gaze and Sporn are the basketball commentators.
