KG would be have pushed. All work load was already reduced this year and now they want him out for younger blood.

Phil Smyth probably to take over, which I don't mind even if he's old. Hopefully he can talk up and promote basketball.

He was told they aren't renewing his contract for the weekly show, beleive he will still work for the station on the weekends during the AFL season covering Crows/Port games.

I saw the article yesterday in the paper. Not sure what the big issue is? The wife made it sound like KG should be able to determine if/when he should retire. As far as I am aware, the decision not to renew a contract is the employer's decision to make. I guess whether it was the right decision will be shown by future ratings.

I'm not a big fan of the show anyway, but I thought the wife's comments were a bit over the top.
