Hodge Never Gave Commitment To Tigers

Just read this on John Rillies website: http://jronfire.blogspot.com/.

Julius Hodge's agent Cervando Tejeda e-mailed HoopsHype.com to shoot down a report on the Melbourne Herald-Sun that had Hodge going to the Tigers of the Australian League.

"Neither Julius nor me have given any verbal commitment to the Melbourne Tigers organization," Tejeda said. "Right now Julius' focus is getting an invite to an NBA veterans camp and making the NBA." - HoopsHype.

Thank god for that. Reinforces my idea that Hodge loved Adelaide so much that if he were to return to Aus it would be to the team he loved playing with and who introduced him to Australia. But it's unlikely he'll ever play in the NBL again IMO.

I really hate it how the Tigers brag that they have the signatures of certain players when they don't. 1st Newley, then Hodge. They were saying that had "Hodge on standby". What a load of crap.

Champ, are you sure he's going to try to get a roster spot with Utah? They already have 15 players under contract and have plenty of shooting guards/small forwards already.
