Olympics: Marino leads NZ again

Surprised Angela Marino isn't generating much discussion on here.

New Zealand don't have a strong team and they have only won the one game, but Marino has been scoring well.

Today, against the Czech Republic, she led NZ with 22 points on 8/12 shooting.

Anyone else following her progress?

Marino, Ryeland, Drysdale, Lincoln, Hampshire, Dorper...... I think the New Zealanders like them all.

I'm not surprised Marino leads again though, they were my favourite when I grew up over there too.

Just on the topic of Marino I saw a FIBA ad on Eurosport the other day promoting the starts of the world game, the 4 players on it were LeBron, Lauren Jackson, Manu and Marino. For all the shit she cops on this forum she's obviously held in pretty high regard internationally.

who cares, She is not and never will be good enough for the opals!!!!! Its very handy to have dual citizenship and a rich dad. There are lots of other players that would have performed better if given the chances she had.

Angela Marino is only new zealand born of italian parents while her father was working in new zealand for transfield. Couldn't make it here so Tom Maher asked her to play when he was coaching them.
