Is Darren staying with the Slingers even though they are not in the NBL anymore?

Yes, the Slingers are playing a few tournaments within Asia instead of participating in the NBL.

The Slingers are no longer an NBL team and are now no longer subject to salary caps. The LG Sakers in the Brunei Cup are reported to have spent $5million AUD on their team last year alone.

Korean basketball is huge.

You don't have to be the worlds best player to earn big money in Korea, you just have to be a Korean star player.

The imports used in the Korean League are normally competiting in the D-League or have retired after a few seasons NBA. They normally have good imports signed with each team.
