Newley starts for the Crocs

It finally happened! Robert Rose was injured at training and Brad Newley got his first opportunity to start for the Crocs.

The result isn't much of a surprise: 24 points at 50%, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks. A season high 39+ minutes, and a single turnover. (Hadn't played more than 30 minutes previously.)

The Crocs hammered the Razors by 23 points after scores were level at half-time.

Newley started and Trahair actually made a shot -- the odds on that combo would've been astounding!

The Crocs are on a 5-0 run while the Razors have now lost 5 straight. Townsville have 14 wins to the Sixers 15...

Theyre starting to look pretty dangerous those crocs, when do they play some decent opposition?

BTW, the scout apparently told Newley to stick with the NBL for another season and work on his body. Then declare for the NBA draft after that.

The scout was confident that he'd go in the first round. He also expects Bogut to go in the top three when he declares.
