Jess Foley is WNBL POTW

Keeping both awards in SA this week after Luke Schenscher got the NBL's equivalent award, Jess Foley of the Lightning has been named the WNBL's Player of the Week:

Adelaide Lightning's Jessica Foley has been named the Nivea Player of the Week for Round 4, the Pink Ribbon Round of the Australian Defence Force Women's National Basketball League.

Foley was instrumental in the Lightning's 80-66 win over the Dandenong Rangers on Friday night, nailing clutch baskets when the Rangers closed the margin.

She bagged a double-double against Dandenong with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and added two assists. Foley was also dangerous from the perimeter scoring from 4-of-7 attempts at three-point range.

Foley is showing the form that made her a part of the ADF WNBL All Star Five for the 2007/08 season, when she was a part of the champion Lightning team.

In Adelaide's first loss of the season to the Bulleen Boomers on Sunday Foley posted 16 points and 3 assists.
Angela Marino got a mention too from the WNBL, averaging 18.5 PPG over the two games.

Well done to both.
