St Mary's signs more Aussie talent

Patty Mills' college St Mary's boast 5 Aussies this season (Mills, Hughes, Allen, Walker & Steindl) and it was today announced that another 3 AIS players will make the trip to Moraga, California for the 2009/10 season.

Matt Dellavedova, Jordan Page and Mitchell Young have all signed letters of intent. Whilst Mills is unlikely to be there next season as he will likely nominate for the NBA draft, and with Hughes and Walker graduating, there wil still be 5 Aussies on the team next season!

Anyone have any thoughts as to how the Gael's will go this season? I reckon they can make run at winning the WCC and topping the Zag's.

Wow, St. Marys is just an Australian young gun team now. Let me tell you right now Matt Dellavedova and Jordan Page are 2 of Australia brightest prospects. Those guys are guns.

I expect SMC to win the WCC tournament. The only player of note not returning is Todd Golden.

I wouldn't be supprised to them in the AP top 25 for most of the season and get a seeding somewhere in the 3-5 range into the tournament.

With any luck, Mills with be this years Stephan Curry.

Oh and Tomlinson is already playing on the girls team and breaking all kinds of shot-blocking records.

I hope so kad..although I would like to see Patty star all season, and then lift to another level at the NCAA tourney.

Gonzaga are supposed to be one of the top 10 teams in the nation - so I think they would have to be favourite in the WCC
