David Cooper - 250 NBL games milestone

You might cower in fear any time he lines up a long jumpshot, but David Cooper this Saturday lines up for his 250th NBL game.

Of those, 144 games have come playing for Adelaide. Of the current roster, only Brett Maher has played more games for the 36ers.

Coops' 213 blocks in the league puts him third in Adelaide's history, behind Mark Davis (301) and Bill Jones (243). He's also fifth in all-time blocked shots of active NBL players, behind Sam Mackinnon, Chris Anstey, Glen Saville and Darnell Mee - all four of those players have suited in at least 50 games more than Cooper however.

Amazingly, according to NBL Fast Facts this round, Cooper has played 214 consecutive games, healthy since February 2002 when a DNP-CD saw him miss action!

Coops is a quiet achiever & top bloke. When you factor in minutes/game into those stats, it should become obvious that he seriously does the hard stuff.

I'm hang'n out for a dunk on Anstey for his 250th. A Bruce to Cooper alley oop would bring the house down.

Bring it on Scottie.

I'll give you guys a reminder tomorrow, but please show Coops some respect. He's currently the 2nd longest serving player on our roster, & plays the role that he's TOLD/coached do play, without complaint.
He's a team player & can contribute more than what he's been "held" to do.
