Yeah, I had heard $300-400k once you included all the bits and pieces.

so half the clubs salary...but not included in said cap!

I am going to have a stab here

Mee $200 plus
Cat circa $250
Abney $400
DT $350 ( reportedly what he was on in Melb so lets say they matched it)
Black dont know but if that is what the other were on then who knows lets say conservative $150k

that is almost double the cap right there and we have not got to Grabau, Boodi or the bench.

The NBL have only got themselves to blame as far as what has happened here.

And let me get this straight we here in 36ers land certainly can not be throwing any stones in any direction.

What it does show is that this was a one time 2nd bottom team, what does it cost to build a Dragons / Tigers / Breakers line up?

kent i suggest those teams are spending around 2.4m to 3.5m thats the talk and yes 6ers cant throw stones as if the rumors are right about God (hodge) ouchh to the hip pockets of the owners

the league is never going to survive and be stable untill they police the salary cap, its rather simple, if clubs do then strip them of there points, like what happen to canterbury in the NRL.

So what happens now, you have a player saying he was paid outside of the cap, surely this must trigger action from the NBL.

The can say they dont have the ability to policy it, now they have a player admitting to cap avoidance, surely any wins by Cairns where Abney was playing are now void.
