Final Super Saturday of the NBL (as we know it)

4 matches tonight to finish off the regular season.

Spirit v Breakers kick off the night at 7:30pm followed by the 2 Queensland games..
Blaze v Hawks & Taipans v Blaze at 8:00pm
We then finish with the only game that will mean anything on the ladder.. Wildcats v Tigers at 9:00pm with Perth playing for a home final.

There is a high possibility that more than half of these teams are playing their last ever regular season game, so it is quite a sad night.

Im tipping a home side sweep.

So far the Breakers and Blaze have has comfortable wins.

Dragons just won by 2 points. (2 foulshots made byDonta Smith with 1 second left on the clock)

and Perth are just 4:31 away from getting that home final. They are currently up by 5 poins.

and that is the end of the regular season.

Townsville will now travel to Perth to play a knock out final on Wednesday night. The winner will then go onto play the Dragons in a best of three.

Adelaide meanwhile will travel to New Zealand, with the winner of their Thursday knock out final playing the Tigers in a best of three.

Breakers and then Tigers. Its a good path to the Grand Final Series considering the Sixers won two of their three away games against both these teams on their home courts. They will feel they can win.

I think it is going to be tough for Adelaide. When Adelaide beat NZ, the first game NZ were missing Bruton and Ronaldson and the second game NZ were missing Penney.

I think Adelaide would prefer the tigers over the dragons, but remember the tigers team now is quite different from the one they've beaten. Hodge absolutely dominated the game in Melbourne so with grizzard replacing him and DT and Kendall in for the tigers, they've improved a lot.

Also, the times they beat NZ, they were missing key players.

People seem to quickly forget that when we beat New Zealand in New Zealand, we were also without 2 of our starters in Maher and Davidson.

From memory Tyndale lit it up when we beat NZ in NZ,
as did Hodge when we beat the Tigers in Melbourne.
We must be a big chance to win if we can get it together on the game night.

That's true Skip, but in the most recent game, the sixers were full strength and the Breakers without their leading scorer and the sixers only won by 11. I expect Penney would have made a big difference to that game and the sixers were rolling with a sell out crowd and mahersy's last regular season game.
