#1 Uconn vs #4 Pittsburgh ***Spoiler***
Big game today in NCAA competition, with #1 Uconn (24-1) vs #4 Pittsburgh (23-2).
Pittsburgh came away trumps in what was a close game throughout and could now expect to dethrone Uconn from the #1 ranking next week.
DeJuan Blair had an absolute blinder for Pittsburgh, racking up a mammoth double-double comprising of 22 points (1/17 FG) and 23 rebounds! Blair had great support from Sam Young who had a game high 25 points on 8/13 shooting, including 4/6 on triples.
Uconn were led by point guard AJ Price who had 18 points (6/16 FG) to go with 8 assists. Likely lottery pick Hasheem Thabeet struggled for Uconn, scoring only 5 points (1/5 FG, 3/6 FT) and pulling down just 4 rebounds with 2 blocked shots in 23 minutes.
A good game to watch a replay of if you get a chance.
On another note, Luke Nevill's Utak is now within sight of a national top 25 ranking as the leading team in the Mountain West Conference. If the Ute's can rack up a couple of more wins in a row, a national ranking is imminent. Patty Mills' Saint Marys Gael's will need to string together a good winning streak if they are to have a chance of re-entering the top 25.
