Locked: New Stadium Debate Continues

Report proposes 100,000 seat city stadium

The Advertiser is continuing its campaign for a new stadium in the centre of Adelaide releasing information about a government instigated report on sporting infrastructure.

The more interesting part for me is the inclusion of a 15,000 seat indoor stadium "to attract international netball or basketball championships"

I would love to see a world championship in Australia men or women and would go to any games in Adelaide and even head interstate for finals.

How good would it be to have 10-15,000 people at 36ers home games every week as well, 8,300 the other week was awesome - to have that many or more every week would be a dream.

Where would you find the extra 10-11,000 people that currently aren't coming to 36er games now ??
DHD has had two capacity crowds in the last 8 years, one for a grand final, the other to farewell the best player the club has ever seen.
Neither of these events happen very often.

As much as I would truly LOVE to see both of these stadiums happen, I cant see either of them getting off the ground while they are still pumping money into both Footy Park and the Ent. Cent.
