Why is it interesting that North beat Sturt? Sturt arent that great without Jacob.

On this individual game basis it never looked like North would win the game. North apart from the 1st minute in the game never took the lead until 4 minutes into the final quarter. They trailed by as much as 12 points on several occasions. Sturt looked the far more superior team for most of the game putting a lot of pressure on North making it difficult for them to score. North also had a bad trott at the free throw line. They won the game in the last few seconds but an excellent win nonetheless. With Jacob playing no doubt the result would have been different.

North had a bad trot at the free throw line? Are you serious?

30/46 as opposed to 8/18.

Thats where the game was won.

was a good game down at the port, with the flames pulling through in the last quarter! truslove's technical seemed to be a major turning point

In regard to the mens Woodville result, were they a full strenth side last night or just up against a mighty improved and competitive Centrals side?

WOMENS RND 2
83 W/ville beat Centrals 42
68 Southern Tigers lost to Eastern 70
68 Sturt Sabres beat North 61
83 West beat Norwood 47 !!!
71 F/ville def. South 60

If that stat is right and Eastern beat southern at southern then there is only one possible explanation, they must have had the refs flown in from interstate.

Pickles, the west v norwood womens match was affected by the refs, 8-9 fouls in the first 3 minutes including a tech on the coach. 18 total first quarter.

Norwood eventhough had less fouls total were on the worst end of it aswell, competent refs and the game would have been much closer. West were a better team though and deserved the win

woodville were at full strength just beaten by a harder working team on the night. Lions had better poise ans decisions down the stretch.

hustle, I should have said in the first half. Mapunda especially couldn't hit anything. The Rockets greatly improved in the 2nd half, that's what won them the game.

598. the stats from the norwood /west game tell a different story. Norwood didn't have one double digit point scorer and were killed on the boards. No lightning stars, no norwood.

Stats, how much do they get affected by refs. Stats dont always reflect what happened.

I agree west would have won anyway, just hate seeing such woeful reffing.

Norwood lightning wouldnt want duke and foley to be out for too long otherwise they might leave there run a bit too late. cant see the line up they had one the weekend winning to many without them!

I think when Jess Foley gets back she is having ankle operation so she will not play much this season...

What a surprise, a conversation about basketball turns into immature boy talk.
Get over it you idiots how anyone's sexual orientation deserves to be discussed on here is beyond me.

Imagine if it was you being talked about, or your son or daughter or brother or sister.

Stay away from the cheap joke and discuss basketball. You all should be ashamed of yourselves making such bigoted jokes about people who certainly don't deserve this crass humour at their expense.

Its such jokes that makes it harder for every young gay boy or girl to feel comfortable being simply who they are leading to depression and suicide.

Grow up and Isaac certainly these comments should be deleted before they do some damage, if they haven't already.
