Would this team be competitive

I have been thinking about this for a while. Would an SA ABL team be competitive in the NBL with two more imports. Picking the team like this:

Top 2 Scorers for ABL
Top 3 Rebounders for ABL
Top 1 Blocks for ABL
Top 1 3pt Made for ABL
Top 1 Steals for ABL
Top 1 Assist for ABL

Leaving a team at present of the following + two imports to fill the void

PG-Andrew Webber/Cameron Wilson/Anthony Spadavecchia
SG-Import/Darren Ng
SF-Brad Hill/Josh Knight
PF-Import/Keith Krause
C -Peter Hoban/Steve Pilkington

Would that team be competitive.

OR

Could you go the following criteria and would this team be competitive

Top 3 Guards Index of Success
Top 2 Swing Men Index of Success
Top 3 Forwards Index of Success

PG-Andrew Webber/Ryan Kerston
SG-Import/Darren Ng
SF-Brad Hill/Josh Knight
PF-Import/Keith Krause
C -Shane Brehney/Steve Pilkington

Not a huge difference in teams but which would win and which would be competitive.

Depends what sort of NBL we might see. If the big name players are in Europe, obviously that would increase the chances of an ABL side.

Still, they need top flight imports to compete.

Start Darren, have Burdon behind him, and use the import spots at PG or in the bigs.

If that team played NBL then there would have been a massive drop from last season. You guys need to think about the jump from NBL to ABL. Remember Holmes playing ABL who was a young 21 yr old OK NBL player getting 40+ points 20 + rebounds per game a few seasons ago.

You could get away with 1 or 2 of those guys on an NBL roster but a whole team of them leaves too many holes.

Isn't Shane Breheny like 6'3"? How is he ever classed as a centre?

The imports for that team would need to be at the PG and C positions. If that is all we had at the centre position, they would get smashed. As has previously been mentioned, too many holes.

Steve Pilkington cant even help his SBL team win.
Let alone compete at NBL level.
Shane Breheny gets 10 & 10 in a loosing team with no other quality big men - rule him out
Hoban as a back up maybe.

Last I checked Boots this is a team game and no single player can win the game himself. Does that mean we only pick from winning teams, so no Brad Hill, no Eric Burdon, no Josh Knight, no Cameron Wilson?
