Tigers' $10k fine in Finals/ McPeake's BA comments

Now that basketball's worst kept secret is official with the Tigers "back", should BA move to ensure their unprofessional comments about refs that they were fined for be enforced, in addition to McPeake's earlier comments a few weeks ago when he publicly slandered his peers?

I believe irrespective of his own reasons for why he does what he does, an example needs to be made of airing dirty laundry in this fashion which brings the game into disrepute- if it was anyone else they'd not get away with it and it sends a poor message in a time where the game needs consistency and respect for those trying to bring about reform.

Thoughts?

Of course they should...and now they hold even more cards...the tigers are going to have to play by the rules or feel the pinch...

Anon I think you're missing the context of moving on.
You can learn your lesson, then move on, or you can keep behaving in the same way without regard for consequences to yourself and others, and 'move on' by continuing the behaviour with someone else.

The first one is moving on in the proper sense of the term and the other is taking no responsibility for actions with a high likelihood of a repeat performance.

Forgive and forget.

Wouldn't be surprised if there was a "goodwill gesture" from BA in the negotiation process to quietly forget about all this.

It is incomprehensible that the fine is NOT paid. They manipulated the season last year, then when fined have not played by the rules of the sport( They never have).
To say forget and move on shows the lack of what has gone on. McPeake plays games has the money and tries to make the rules. The Dragons one the season, but there fines have been paid.

All other fines had been paid, if the Tigers wish to be represented they should pay up.

As a gesture perhaps it should go to a charity , in the forgive and forget. McPeake should pay his dues like the rest have!

yup they should pay up, if they don't then why should any other team have to pay any fine imposed by BA. If BA want to be taken seriously they need to enforce every rule and regulation (salary cap?) regardless of what team is in question.
