36ers' Boomers return from China
Couple of portions from a press release from the 36ers:
SOUTH AUSTRALIAN BOOMERS RETURN FROM CHINA TOUR
The local members of the Boomers Australian men's basketball team arrive back in South Australia today (Thursday 2 July) fresh from their tour of China.
Adelaide 36ers players Jacob Holmes and Brad Hill will jet into Adelaide on Thursday afternoon.
Holmes and Hill will now continue their preparations in the lead-up to the Boomers' next camp in Sydney from 18 22 August. They will be eyeing a berth in the Boomers two-game FIBA Oceania Championship series against New Zealand, which will open in Sydney on August 23.
Holmes and Hill will also be focused on preparing for the upcoming National Basketball League (NBL) season, with the competition tipping-off on September 24. The 36ers open their 2009/10 campaign on the road against the Cairns Taipans on 26 September before playing their home opener at the Distinctive Homes Dome on 3 October against the New Zealand Breakers.
