Pick up hoops in Adelaide?

I have just moved back to Adelaide from living overseas and wondering where are some places here where people shoot around and/or play pick up games?

Any recommended spots?

Looking for week nights and also weekends.....

Cheers
Mark

Wakefield courts on a Sat from around 2pm can get quite busy (although last time i was there was a few months back when it was warmer).

May not find too many places on weeknights, outside the Church/District comp's until the days get a bit longer though.

Depending on what area you live in, if your in the western suburbs there is a social competition at Port Adelaide there is Mixed and womens / mens social comp at St.Clair at Woodville and I think there is social even at the Dome. I hope that helps.

I often drive past some courts on Brighton Rd, Brighton on a Sat morn or arvo and see some people playing on a court on the right hand side not far from the train line (heading north). Sometimes it looks like there are some younger kids there, other times a bit older, so it might be a bit hit and miss?

The Trinity courts in Col Light Gardens usually get a few games going on a Saturday... and even on weeknights during summer

Thanks guys for all the suggestions....

Would there be any indoor courts someone could hire once or twice a week to play pick up games??

When I lived overseas (Singapore) we rented a court at a school and guys would just rock up and play twice a week.

We would have 5 on 5 full court games, first team to 16 wins. Winning team goes off if they win 3 in a row.

We would also "count off" for when we had more than 5 people waiting to play next, so it was all fair.

Each player would pay 5 bucks to cover court costs...

Do you think this could work here????

If so, any idea where????

Cheers

Trinity courts at colonel light gardens are off the hook in summer but normally not many people come down in winter, which sucks :(

There's a nice little half court on Churchill Road that usually gets enough for 3v3 on weekend.
