Tickets on sale for NBL's Top End Challenge

On the off chance that Hoops has any or many readers, tickets for the Top End Challenge NBL pre-season comp are on sale.

Tickets for the National Basketball League's pre-season Top End Challenge tournament are now on sale with fans able to see all eight NBL teams playing in a total of 12 games in Darwin over three days from 3 - 5 September.

The tournament, which is being supported by the Northern Territory government and will be the biggest basketball event in Darwin’s history, opens on Thursday 3 September.

Games will be played at two venues in Darwin - the Darwin Basketball Association and Marrara Indoor Stadium.

The Grand Final will be played on Saturday 5 September from 8pm at Marrara Indoor Stadium.

Tickets for the Top End Challenge are on sale now through Darwin Basketball Association office (phone: 08 8945 4666) and will also be on sale at the door at both venues (subject to availability).

Ticket prices are:
Adult – Single Day Ticket $20
Child (16 & under) – Single Day Ticket $10
Adult - 3-Day Pass - $50
Child (16 & under) – 3-Day Pass- $25
Group discount of 20% for 20 or more people available
Take note Vlahov, that's potential 12 games (probably fewer if any run concurrently at separate venues) for $50.

Good work by the NT government and NBL - strong support for the event could lead to a bit of interest in a Darwin-based NBL team? Maybe promotion of everyone's favourite NT team, the Darwin Airport All Stars?

The venues are next door to each other and only a 50 metre walk.

Darwin Basketball Stadium games at 5PM and 7PM (seats approx 800).

Marrara Indoor Sports Centre games at 6PM and 8PM (seats approx 2,000).

Jetstar is currently running flights from $99 to Darwin from Adeaide. Our temperature right now is a cool 32 degrees with great ocean breeze with a nightly temp around 20 degrees. If you haven't been to the top end before, now might be the time to try.
