Bowen retiring from NBA

http://linky.com.au/jq4xa

He's one of the most dirtiest players ever seen in the NBA and I've loathed the bloke for years. I'm not too sad about the move.

Yours thoughts?

A bit harsh. A gret defender & had a fair career. Reires with about 80 mill...

A good player who contributed to a number of titles.

He's the type of talentless player that only Russell Hinder could admire.

Was crucial to three spurs title runs. Universally recognised defender who developed a reliable three point shot and hit some big time playoff threes. I think most of the haters probably had their teams beaten by the spurs at some stage in the last 7 or 8 seasons. He wasn't dirty, was exagerated to death. I think the respect Kobe gave him speaks volumes

thanks the doctor- obviously I'm a Laker guy, they beat us in '03 playoffs even then I still have respect for the guy.

the way he plays defense, regardless dirty or not it's hard for anyone to do for 48 minutes. imagine chasing Kobe and Lebron for 48min.

LA Boy - Derek fisher buzzer beater. I'll neverget over that. Champ33 - not sure if Bowen was there in 99. SF was Sean Elliot. Still, if Ewing wasn't injured?

he had to pay $7,500 for kicking Wally Szczerbiak in the face during a March 1, 2002 game

rival guards Vince Carter and Steve Francis accused him of encroaching into their landing space during their jumpshot.

Bowen picked up a $10,000 NBA fine for kicking Ray Allen in the back during a March 2006 game.[10]

His knee contacted Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash's groin, knocking Nash to the floor. Also in that series, forward-center Amar'e Stoudemire accused Bowen of kicking him during a game

Bowen was fined $7,000 and suspended for one game for kicking Chris Paul after Paul had fallen to the floor during a March 12, 2008 game

All exaggerations? The guy was dirty, plain and simple.

He may be dirty. But what's the difference between him and a tagger in the afl. U will do anything to put ur opponent off his game. He just got caught a couple of times lol. Good player.
