NBL and grassroots basketball

Is it me or does it seem like the Hawks & Taipans are
doing the most community work out of the whole league?

What leads you to that conclusion? What you see on their web sites? Or that they were partly saved by financial input by fans?

It is mostly news posted on their websites and the NBL reporting on these types of stories.

Sixers players do a lot of school clinics during the week with the BSA DO's. Other then that im not sure what the sixers do but they r out there giving a bit back to the community.

Hawks and 36ers played in Whyalla last Friday...run clinics and certainly did their part where they could..perhaps not not good enough...lol

I have also been to clinics run by BA in the last 2 years, been to 15 to 20 clinics run by SA country and SASI...

not sure what you are looking for neal, but perhaps some info isn't being passed on for you to go to some sessions??

My point was that fans shouldn't assume these community/school things aren't happening just because they aren't being publicised.

Agree with Isaac - just because they are not being publicised by a teams doesn't mean that they are not happening.

However from what was happening in the late 80's to what is happening now in Melbourne, there is precious little happening in comparison now. Granted there were three teams in Melbourne back then, but the Tigers just don't do enough. The Dragons did more in their short time than the Tigers have done in the past 10 years IMO.
