Willie J to Southern

Good article by Boti this morning on W J and it's great to see Willie appointed to the Southern women's coaching role as he is undoubtedly well qualified to do the job but how did he slip through Woodville's grasp if he was coaching juniors there already?

lets hope woodville continue to let him coach his daughters junior team if he wants to.

plenty of other coaches have been involved with 2 clubs at once.

no coflict if trust is there.

Plenty of examples

Matt Clarke played at Centrals this year and coached his brothers at southern tigers

Corey is the ABL assitant mens coach at north and coaches west u/10 girls.

Travis Leaver played at southern and coached juniors at Sturt back in the day.

anybody know anymore???

wonder how warriors will react?

Good article? seems like a typical Boti write up about the club that he is currently at. Shame Travis isn't coaching there anymore. Would liketo know if Willie will coach at both?

I understand he was sacked from woodvile for what was described as a conflict of interest.

No conflict?? So approaching juniors at woodville to play for southern is not a conflict. I think you have both hands on it. If they allow him to stay after this they are a joke!

Seemed the perfect time for Woodville to have appointed him to the women's role there with a fresh start at St Clair loomimg it may have given them some impetus rather than continue with the same old, same old.

Woodville have an emerging womens programme. With some genuine talent coming through.

It will take a change in culture and game style to convert that talent to some wins.

Not sure where that will come from, but they have certainly missed an opportunity imho.

Well the current situation (culture and game style) has returned.

15 wins & 93 losses over the last 6 years.

If it was not for the Lions maybe even worse.

Willie is a big loss, the Tigers v Warriors game will be one he is looking forward to I'm sure. Not so sure the Warriors will be.
