Yao will not play 2009/10 Season

Yao Ming has come out in the media to confirm he will not play at all in this up-coming NBA season.

[Encouraged by progress in his recovery from major foot surgery, Yao Ming said Wednesday he will return to action -- just not next season. "The [X-ray] picture looks good. The bones heal well," he said in an interview with Houston television station KRIV. He also said, however, that there is no chance that he will play in the 2009-10 NBA season. "The answer is no. You don't want to rush it, because they want it to totally heal this time. I have been in this situation enough," he said.]

This means our own David Andersen will get a full NBA season under his belt before the big man is set to return. This is a real chance to earn some decent minutes to show everyone what he is capable of without the threat of Yao returning early to gobble up his chances.

If Anderson plays more than 400minutes total for the season i will be very surprised. Hope he starts, but hope in one hand and s@#t in the other and see which hand fills first.

Rockets will be a ok this season, Scola and Battier will constantly win their positions, T-Mac will supply some help but should be used very sparingly. Brooks can develop and so can Ariza.

They will just miss the play-offs and get a crap pick in the draft (or pull a chicago and get poll position!)

So much relies on T-Mac that you cant help but feel he will fail like he has his entire career.

Dude needs to get his butt to Cleveland in a trade for Shaq.
