totally agree - somebody just trying to create an impression and justify position it is ridiculous - it also seriously questions if athey got any ideas and improvements -
WHY THE CHANGE CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN WHY WHEN ITS BEING WORKING WELL
WHY ITS JUST A DUMB ARSE IDEA
IT WILL LAST ONE SEASON AND THEN EISTEIN MIGHT WAKE UP
NOT HAPPY
AT LEAST HAVE TEAMS AT SAME VENUE SO TO CREATE BIT OF CLUB SUPPORT BUT NO THAT NOT EVEN LIKELY -
NO IDEA

I love that moment when people think LOWER CASE IS JUST NOT GOING TO CUT IT ANY LONGER.

i used to love it playing under 20's on a friday night, being the last game of the night and having pretty much the rest of the club there watching, a bring back the good old days. Allegedly Sturt arent taking the competition too seriously this year.

thats a bit of a slur on the guys playing division 1, the clubs should be forced to put in their strongest under 20 team, sturt might fall flat on its face like it did last season in under 20s

some clubs are playing under 18's in division 2 at the moment, so how can that be good for development of players that are in the under 20 age group playing kids younger than them?

The only reason they didn't win the end of year last year was there best guys couldnt play Friday and then back up for major minutes in ABL finals games on Saturday. When they were all playing they won State Champs reasonably easily.

Be interesting to see how Southern go in this age group, I heard they are playing Division 3 men at the moment and havent won a game!

254 that's not right. Sturt played last year's 18s the first 2 weeks and this year's 20s the last 2 weeks. Most clubs are playing a mix of juniors and seniors.

The Under 20 comp was already a bit of a nothing comp, but now it is going to be an absolute joke. None of the best players will play 20s anymore, as guys at this level have already started on a pathway to senior basketball by playing reserves.

The leftovers will be the guys making up the numbers in 20s. None of the top clubs have taken 20s seriously for a long time anyway.

Like it or not, this is the beginning of the end for U20 basketball.

Perhaps this is the "payback" for the clubs sensibly voting not to change the age group from U20 to U23?

Worst idea ever. stupid putting under 20's same night as reserves as most of the 20’s play reserves.

Allows some of the players to be coaches now that Div 2's are playing Friday. Good idea from that perspective

hanging around,

All clubs agreed that the U23 comp was a good idea.

They had no vote, but expressed concern that U18 and U20 players in low divs wouldn't be able to cut it against senior players and that an U20 comp should stay on friday night as well as the U23 comp.

BSA in its infinite wisdom did neither.

They have stuffed the whole U20 and seniors comps, the rules with player movement between teams is ridiculous!

heard one club playing under div 1 players in div 2 on thursday so they can front for reserves on tuesday - very smart - BSA got no idea - Under 20 comp is being ruined by the ivory tower
clubs support a great concept under 23 but who listens nobody who matters
just somebody who thinks he matters makes decision WRONG DECISION

462, can you repost that with all the info so we know what you are saying? "under div 1 players in div 2 on thursday", under what div 1 and div 2 is on tuesday not thursday.
