Barlow to miss Two Months

It would seem that yet another of our Boomers is under an injury cloud.

Apparently he received a knock to the hand at the end of a training session and thought little of it, but the following day it was visibly swollen, and examination confirmed their worst fears.

According to the doctor, "David Barlow has a fracture of the 5th metacarpal on his right hand caused by direct trauma yesterday. The term of recovery of these fractures are at least two months ", say the club's medical services.

Get well soon DB.

Sounds like the same type of injury Patty Mills sustained whilst he was tearing up Gonzaga last season.

Hope he recovers quickly and is back to his best sooner rather than later.

Had a similar injury to both my right hand (collison) and left hand (caught in the singlet of a Southern Tigers' opponent - believe it or not). The little finger is a bitch when broken in the hand. Recovery on the right hand - 4 weeks with surgery. Left hand 6 weeks without surgery. Best move is to reinforce it or you end up with a bump and crooked bone.
