Willie Jeanette is head coach at Southern, there is a previous thread on this. Lucas is not an assistant but will provide assistance when and where required.

If Lucas is only helping out every now and then, WHY are they approaching players with the leading line of we have Chris Lucas as an assistant????

What having Willie as a coach isnt a good enough opening line. Bit misleading if you ask me.

Desperate measures from a desprate team!!!!

Chris Lucas is a quality coach with a big name. Any involvment would have to be a good start for a rookie coach.
the boti involvement may be a bit rough though

Had Willie got the job at Woodville then maybe for the first time in a decade the women might have had some enthusiasm and a plan going forward. Good on Southern for seeing his potential. Centrals and Woodville are below the standard of the ABl and at best act as training runs for the rest of the competition. The time for change at these clubs has unfortunately passed them by and I doubt either will ever rise to any heights.
