Well done to the organisers for a smoothly run carnival. Most games went to schedule and there was a good atmosphere for finals.
It was a great opportunity for "green shirts" to gain more experience, but it was a pity that they often outshone the experienced grey shirts in ability and attitude. If you think this is umpire knocking, ask somebody who saw some of the games.

Some of the umpiring in the mens grades was an absolute disgrace
that is no knock to the organizers of the carnival who did a great
job as always
Im already excited for next years carnival.........
the one with no referee's.

Would be less frustrating and less mistakes if players used the 'honesty' system, plus it would lower the nomination costs.
