Tremmell Darden

Was watching a Fox sports extra which showed the 2009 game 5 nbl championship and thought how come now one has signed Tremmell Darden. He hit 21 in one quarter, extremely athletic, can handle the ball.

Has he signed overseas

Good replacement if the 36ers decide to let cortez go.

thoughts or know were abouts

Loved him. I never agreed with those who said he couldn't be anything but a role player.

Don't know where he is.

He is currently in Europe wearing no 12 for Strasbourg Illkirch-Graffenstaden Basket,

earning more money there than we could ever pay him

What most dont understand is the ridiculous amount of money he wants.
36ers enquired about him at the start of the season and it would be fair to say that the Dragons were possibly just breaching the cap (insert sarcasm here), at least double what Groves is on.

And I guess it's fair to say we get half the output of him from Cortez...

Tremmell is carving up the French league, but would have struggled to be a big time scorer here because of his average handle and inconsistent jump shot. He was a great rebounder, defender, finisher around the hoop though, and would have been a great pickup for Adelaide.

Having said that, with the team struggling offensively early in the season he would have struggled to put points on the board, and certainly cant play back up pg, so that would have effected the rest of the roster.

Groves in form is a good fit for Adelaide, but really, what are the chances of him finding some consistency, particularly from the perimeter?

The last thing someone like Groves should be doing is shooting from the perimeter. Back when he could play his strength was going to the hole. Sure some games he would get hot from outside but the guy's never been a great shooter.
