Holmes and the 36ers' all-time lists

Found the following from this round's NBL by the Numbers quite surprising:

This match will be the 200th in a Sixers' uniform for Jacob Holmes. He will become the eighth player ever to reach that milestone for Adelaide. The forward started his career with Adelaide on 13 October 2001 against, fittingly, the Wildcats. The 36ers won that game and Holmes had three rebounds in just over five minutes on court, but failed to score. He has made up for that since, and has scored 2,005 points in a Sixers’ uniform which ranks him tenth all-time for the club in scoring.

Holmes is also ranked equal-third all-time for the 36ers in rebounds with 1,296. He is currently in a tie with Martin Cattalini (who is coincidentally now on the Perth roster) but will move into outright third place with his next board.
Too busy to look up the current media guide, but a book-version of the 2002/03 one I had in the office has Mark Davis miles and miles ahead of anyone on the boards (obviously), Maher second (would've guessed he was top four - always got a lot of boards for a guard)), Bill Jones third and then Bradtke in fourth. Other bigs like Rees and Stiff just didn't play enough games to get up around that 1,200 mark.

Congratulations to Jake - hope he's fit enough to play this weekend and add to the numbers.

Nice numbers. Now we just need a solid double-double while shutting down Redhage. He's just about our most important player this week.

Perth will have regained Cattalini and now have Galen Young. Only thing really working in Adelaide's advantage is that the Wildcats will have played on Friday night.

Seven and nine news went to sixers training....
Herbert said he's 90% right, but that's as good as he'll get - so he's playing and Scott said Holmes got thru 50% training and his foot is sore and there's 4 games in 7 days, so we'll need to consider that.
Nine will give out 10 free tickets , on tomorrow's news program, which includes the pregame concert.

Sadly the start of the end is upon the 6ers... form is one thing, but now with some key injuries, its going to be to great a task for this roster IMO

Well done to Jacob - a magnificent effort.

Sadly, agree with the above posters. This season has got to be the tightest for a long while. Each game is like a finals game. Injuuries to Jacob and Herbie hurt us in that last home game and a fully fit Perth will be just a bit too strong and too tall for a Sixers outfit running with a cylinder down.

No finals action for the Sixers this season IMO unless a Mary McKillop summons an extra miracle

Must've scored his 2000th Sixers point here then against Perth by the look of it then, in his 199th sixers game.
Should get a big crowd Sunday - holidays, concert and the like.
(See if I win ch9 news promotions family pass outta random draw... I can't help it if I'm unlucky.. )
