Tivo vs other PVR's

And no I don't Foxtel IQ. With all the college hoops(all earning mornings) and NBA on One, looking to purchase either/or. Internet searches are sending me round and round with no real info on which to base a decision.

Anyone have either, or info on which is better would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

yea tivo's the way to go, all pvr's have bugs, but the tivo has less of em ;).
the user interface is the easiest to use.

make sure you have broadband though.

TiVo is a good pvr, but hope you don't get any issues with the TiVo as their after sales service is pathetic, no help at all! Have seen it happen many of times!

Love my TiVo. I have basketball as one of the key words and it just records anything will basketball in it. Very easy to use.

Beyonwiz DP-P2. Ability to skip (not just fast foward)commercials, and export recordings to USB HDD or USB flash drive, for use on PC.

Great user support forum too.

yea but with beyonwiz and most of the other pvr's you have to pay fees to use the ICE (or similar) program guide.

tivo's is completely free and also allows you to rent movies on the internet via the CASPA feature.
