Has to Batman and Robin!

Sorry, someone had to say it.

Best duo ever - How about the twin towers, Duncan and Robinson?

Shaq and Penny in Orlando were awesome together.

But it is almost impossible to go past Michael and Scotty.

Boys and girls, this one is easy...

You can talk about this one forever comparing era's etc, but the best duo WITHIN A TEAM is obviously Michael & Scottie. 6 championships together and probably would have got a few more if Michael hadn't of gone off doing that baseball thing!

The only other person who can bring into this is Bill Russell, but unfortunately I don't know the game well enough back then to know who is partner/s in crime were. MJ & PIP folks!

Oops, forgot to add in my previous post (was too keen to post it!) that it's all about the championships IMO! MJ & Pip = 6 vs who? I can't recall a duo getting that many together bar Russell?

I'll throw this in for pur dominance Wille Jenette and Terry Hamilton for the Buffalos averaged over 70 points and 35 boards between them a game.

My vote is for Stockton and Malone because of the way they worked together.

Working together is what I believe makes a duo. From what I know the other 'couples' were on the same team not necessarily good at working with each other.

Feel free to flame me :-)

Best big man duo had to be the twin towers - Hakeem Olajuwon and Ralph Sampson. If you have seen the Boston Dynasty the game they are on these two dominate. About 10 blocks between them, 30 rebounds and 55 points.

Unstoppable.

How many times have you heard...

Stockton to Malone

Stockton has 15,806 NBA career assists. I wonder how many were to Malone.

MJ and PIP were a awesome tandem, but how much did Jordan assist him. PIP went to Houston where he had Hakeem, and The Round Mound of Rebound (has to be the best nickname ever!!!) and they didn't win a thing. Yep, ok, PIP, The Dream and the Mound were a few years older, but still.

Cheeze, I thought you may of mentioned something along the lines of 'Doc' Rivers and the 'Human Highlight Film'.

They were a pretty good combo during there time together, especially during the mid to late 80's.

(#25127)"pippen is over rated!!! yer he plaid great wif jordan cuz jordan made him good, honestly peoples how did scottie play wen jordan was gone?? ne of u's rememba, he was useless."
...to the anonymous that wrote this ... YOU are a CLOWN !!

Pippen lived in Jordans shadows for years .. he will be remembered as one of the greats .. not only for his skills, but his TEAM ethics. He had no choice but to follow the Jordan lead .. he wanted to be traded many times ... read the profile on him on NBA.com before you open your ill-informed mouth again !!

Useless ... bah !!

Michael Jordan / Scottie Pippen
John Stockton / Karl Malone
Magic Johnson / Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Patrick Ewing / John Starks (or Mark Jackson)

Here is (in my opinion) the most under-rated duo in the history of the NBA: Isiah Thomas / Joe Dumars

Sure...they didn't play well together, and they hated playing on the same team, but how can you possibly dislike the concept of two cousins playing on the same team - two of today's premier all-stars. 10/10 :)

How about Bunting & Wagner? Those two were almost unstoppable playing for the Snowtown Vaulters.

Jenette and Hamilton playing for the Buffaloes weren't dynamic enough to make any finals.

David Johnson and David Flint for Bendigo or Eric Cooks & Kevin Catron for Ballarat were much better.

Yoda,

Han and Luke actually don't gel that well - Han and Chewbacca, or Luke and R2D2! Hard to split.

In the real world, title has to go to Cousy and Russell - 11 Titles!

IMO, we shouldn't talk about teams, (some posters have talked about the success of the team), only the results duo's have achieved when in a team.

(I'm thinking too much aren't I?)

MJ and Pip hands down! I don't know why people continue to argue the point. Best Tandum Ever!! Pippen shuts down MJ (Magic-for all of you who didn't know who I ment). Jordan was unstoppable and for all of you who didn't know Pippen was a hell of a defender and could score when he wanted to at ease. And when Mike did take a break Pip still held his own and Bulls should have went to the finals that year if it wasn't for the refs getting the foul call wrong.

Stock/Malone without a doubt!!! You take these two away from each other and they would not have been able to do half the things they did. Pippen and Jordan are better individual players, but when you talk teamwork, playing off each other...its a no brainer!! All time assists and steals coupled with the 2nd highest scorer of all time.
