Portland - Clippers trade - good news for Patty

Not official yet, but looks like all but done..

Portland sends Travis Outlaw and Steve Blake to Clippers for Marcus Camby

Pretty happy about this as gives the Blazers a centre for the rest of the year and Outlaw and Blake were both expiring contracts so likely gone next year anyway

And then the big news for Patty Mills is he moves up a little in the rotation and with Roy still out with a hammie and Rudy Fernandez struggling of late lets hope he gets a little chance to play and we can see what he's got!!

yep, gotta make the absolute most of this opportunity, he's gotta show that he can be trusted out there, handle the ball and not turn it over, make a few plays and hit his jump shots, and not be a defensive liability. but most importantly i reckon he's got to earn Nate's trust, that's why he liked Blake, he knew what he was going to get.

Blake has been playing significant minutes that wouldn't really be able to be soaked up by Miller and Bayless. Good news for Patty indeed.

Good news for Patty's chances of court time but man... this trade just depresses me! The Celtics could have really used Camby and based on this trade, could have had him for Davis and Scal and maybe Walker. Crazy Clips don't know how to value their own players!

Bad deal by the Clips, but great news for the Blazers and for our own Patty.
Hopefully Mills can start seeing more regular court time - even if it is just 8-10min per game.

Not neccessarily a bad trade for the Clippers - remember they hope to have Blake Griffin in the line-up next season, and now that Kaman is playing well, you have you 4/5 positions set.

Questions were always raised when the Clippers acquired Camby as to how would he, Kaman and Griffin all fit together.

Outlaw is a good shooter and solid defender, and Blake will give them a solid backup PG - an upgrade over the erratic Telfair.

Obviously Pat Mills is impressing the Blazers at training. With the playoffs looming, and Roy's health still questionable, giving up Blake is a big move.
