from what one hears most terams have improved and looking like being very interesting season but nobody would know

I miss the banner ads that used get posted here. Not sure exactly who made them, but they had some very clever plays on words & names.

I used to do them, but just don't have the time these days. I'm sure they're busy, but it wouldn't kill BSA to announce games/match-ups and rosters each week on here so people could follow up with discussion.
Is it BSA job to promote it, or the clubs?
Probably both? But I'm not sure the clubs have done anything about getting word out either - I haven't heard anything from mine about the season.

Looking through the paper today i noticed a writeup about the state netball league kicking off soon .... players, projected finish etc. Why can't basketball get this kind of coverage?

Why cant basketball get this kind of coverage? Because netball has had millions of $$ funding from the commonwealth government and thats how they have paid for their air time on TV and space in papers.
It's the same for the A league.
Basketball is left to look after its self.

Good point by anon further up - nothing stopping the individual clubs from plugging their games, entrance prices, canteen specials, etc.

Only thing BSA is interested in about ABA is the Grand Final and how much they can make on the night and have the CEO turn up to at least one game per year as per his performance management requirements !( If he has one because he doesn;t make it out to any junior games)
