LJ named WNBA Western Conference POTW

Apparently a WNBA record:

Jayco Australian Opal Lauren Jackson of the Seattle Storm was named the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Week for a record 16th time in her career, the league announced overnight.

Jackson's record-setting 16th Player of the Week award, for games played Monday, May 31 through Sunday, June 6, moves her past WNBA legend Lisa Leslie for the most such honours in WNBA history. Jackson also won the award following the first week of the season and last week was selected as the Western Conference Player of the Month.
For the season, Jackson ranks third in the WNBA in points (20.8), fifth in blocks (1.8) and tenth in rebounds (8.1) per game.

IMO she is by far away the leading player for season MVP honours at the minute. Her hot form is a bonus given it is a WC year.
