NBL First Team predictions

Who do you think will make the NBL First Team at the end of the season, assuming that all players currently on rosters will stay there (e.g., no Penney going to Europe)?

I think most would have Penney at SG. I guess PG options would be Bruton, Gibson and Winder if he plays like he has been so far, maybe another unknown import in with a shot?

I reckon Khazzouh will be the top centre, edging Schenscher (who has more competition in the paint at the Crocs). That leaves the forwards. Redhage and Ballinger would be in the mix. Who else?

Penney -- like to have money on
Redhage -- Worth a bet on too but a import might suprise
Ballinger -- Hope can play this spot . New import again will be challenge

Adam Gibson - Should come back ultra ready to take a giant leap to stardom this season. Should take on a bigger scoring load and leadership.

Rod Grizzard - I think he has a point to prove here and he is a nightmare match-up. Long, lean and has all the tools. Has averaged 20 and 8 in the league on a poor team.

Arizona Reid - His credentials are great and I like him fitting into the Taipans squad. Ubaka loves to throw the lobs, Loughton stretches the floor and he will have inside advantage over his 3-man opposition.

Bennett Davison - Here I am hoping he returns with the athletic ability and power he had when he was here last time. A great athlete and a strong rebounder.

Julian Khazzouh - He is a great centre and a clever scorer and defender. He will be challenged heavily by Alex Loughton and Matthew Knight however.

PG: Winder (should control our offense and appears to score at will)
SG: Ervin (preseason stats suggest he will be the go to man at Wollongong)
SF: Penney (best player in the comp imo)
PF: Freeman (based on his video)
C: Nevill (think it will be one of the Melbourne centres)

Second team

PG: Gibson (ready to become a top line NBL player)
SG: Devendorf (he'll either dominate or be released)
SF: Grizzard (should be the man at the Kings, does well in bad teams)
PF: Ballinger (depends how we use him)
C: Khazzouh (should dominate this season)
