Why do people get sucked in by one club in particular? They are very predictable and therefore very easy to beat!

In defence, everything is double teamed up court with traps set along the way. Should the ball get to the danger zone, players are fouled to ensure no shot is taken. A guard is always stationed out the defensive key ready for the fast break.
In offence, once a ball is got, the guards run the lanes and all passes are down court passes for players to run onto. Most shots are taken in the key.

It's their entire club. They run by the same predictable playbook, but get away with it year after year.

If it so easy, why isn't everyone doing it back to them?

And why have they been champion club for the 8 of the past 10 years?

Exactly,

Does that mean that the Worlds and Olympics aren't worth anything because they are only over a week tournament? That winning Euroleague, NBA or NBL is better?

Unfortunately people like you don't understand that we play a sport where the highest level is tournament play.

Change the rules anyway you like and Sturt would win.

Hang on, aren't Eagles number 1? Just look at their website...

THE MOST SUCCESSFUL CLUB IN SA

Congratulations to all the players for this year

29 Teams in Finals, 23 in Grand Finals and 14 Winners

The blue handbaggers can't argue with that, or can they.....

West have the same thing on their website.

"Most successful club in SA"

Unless you win the "State and/or Champion Club Award", any claim to be the "Best Club" is shallow I would think.

PS Jack. How did your Lions do this year again?

Depends how you judge best club - pretty sure Sturt judge it by state champs. Other clubs may judge it by winter season. So be it.

I would judge it by how many ABA chmpionships you have

"I would judge it by how many ABA chmpionships you have"

Therefore you could pay your way to a championship to be the best club whilst getting rid of all your juniors that were hoping to play ABA. I don't think ABA championships are a good judge of best club

I would judge that this is a ridiculous discussion. It reminds me of the 3 stooges argument - who's on first base??? From an adult point of view does any of the above really matter - who is state champion junior club, who is the best U12 team, who won more games in the winter season??

I mean grow up ffs.

Isn't it about the kids, their enjoyment, rather than w**ker adults coming on hear beating their chests about the hardwork their kids are putting in??? If the kids/THE PLAYERS want to have this discussion then let them. Those involved in the above need to stay in the background do the work to build a good environment for kids to work hard and develop in. Getting your ego boost from the work and efforts of your kids would hardly suggest to me that you are the BEST club regardless of what results you have or not.

342,
Most discussions relating to juniors are. People loose sight of the fact that it is junior sport and participation is what matters. Winning is not important, growing is.

I mean, getting nibbles is just what gets some people through the day. As Alfred Pennyworth said. "Some men just want to watch the world burn"

Seeing large ant's nests is very tempting. Sometimes one needs to grab a stick a give 'em a poke and some ant's nest are more fun to poke than others.

"And... here... we... go!"

anon 359,

Its people like Jack who have to cut down the tall poppy that make it about Sturt. That someone fells the need to come on a website and attach children sports and then claim that 'growing is important' shows exactly what type of hypercritical people they are.

If you can't beat them, sledge them.

342, it wasn't the three stooges apart from that you're right very few people care who the 'champion club' is and any player worth their salt believes their club is!
