Blaze thrashed by Cairns again?

The Gold Coast Blaze have now been beaten by close to 40 in two practice matches. They got done by 36 against Cairns on the weekend. Are they struggling or playing games??

Id suggest they are most certainly struggling and with Worthington now injured its not going to get any easier.

While the margin in a couple of games hasnt been a true indication they still have not shown anywhere near enough to justify the bookies having them as 2nd favourites @ 4.50.

IMO they really need a genuine big man (like they thought they had with Rickert) or a live wire guard who can take their layer off the drible and get into the paint. Im sure Joey has a grand plan though, its just going to take some time.

They could be playing crap on purpose for the pre-season so the doubters talk it up only to turn it on during the regular season.

Joey is a good coach and he'll turn things around when the season kicks off.
