Playing against a team with taller players

Hi guys,

how does a smallish team play against a team that has 1-2 massive players that tower over everyone (who play a 2-3 zone) -what should the focus be offensively against a team with these big players and defensively?

Offensively - shoot 3's and jump higher on the O boards, bigs sometimes cant jump and little white guys can, defensively Dont jump under the basket to defend, as you will get called a foul, double team the ball carrier, steal the ball and take that charge....

on offense pull the ball right out and spread the floor to open up the paint and widen the lanes and use mismatches on 1on1 situations to score. Defensively everyone needs to box and push the bigs out of the paint and double them on the block

You'd have to rely on Perimeter shooting to discourage the 2-3 zone. When they swap to MTM or half court trap (something like that), take to slashing down the lane and have a man on either wing to pass out to if the lane gets crowded.

When they catch on to the kick outs, rotate a man to the corner of the foul line and have him rain down 10-15ft jumpers.

All depends on the foot speed beyond that. The bigger the player, the greater their reaction time.

Grab arms while going for Rebounds, run as much as possible, quick ball movement. But won't mean much if the other team with the talls can actually play

Tall guys love to block. Sucker them in if them have their up arms up in D. Drive in hard, then slowdown for your layup. They can't resist going for the block and as soon as they move their arms down, make contact for the foul. You only need to do this a couple of times

Throw in a couple of elbows.
Foul them hard to put them on the hardwood Charles Oakley style.
