Just saw that the Blazers Elliot Williams has dislocated his patella, sad for him but maybe the brake that Patty needed. Hopefully if he can steal some of him minutes he can perform.

I don't really think this injury is going to make much difference in the usage of Patty as a PG.
Williams hadn't managed to crack the rotation, and had been on the inactive list for most of the season, so really there are no minutes for Mills to steal.
With a guard rotation of Miller, Roy, Fernandez, Matthews and rookie Armon Johnson, it is going to be hard for Patty to crack into the rotation, and IMO the only action he will see (barring a significant injury) will be the garbage time minutes of a blowout.

Yep Clarky is right. Too much depth for Mills at Portland. This won't make any difference. I watched Armon Johnson the other day as well and I can see why he has instantly jumped ahead of Mills. He looks like he has the potential to be a starter in the NBA.
Its pretty clear that Patty is going to have to find another team at the end of this season at the latest. Hopefully he can make some noise in the D League and get another team to pick him up.

Both Williams and Mills get breaks. One is a good break, the other not so good.
