Rumour: Dickel to Kings?

Kiwi PG possibly heading to the Kings, but also a vague rumour re Blaze? It's all happening this week in the NBL.

Also need better than 8 PPG from Ryan.

How crazy would it be if all the teams in the bottom half now lift there game so much that the top teams start going to the lower part of the ladder. with melbourne staying where they are ofcourse.

Hawks will be bringing in an import soon, Dave Gruber.

Also a backup point-guard (who was a starting PG for the Grand Finalists last season - Rhys Martin) - hopefully they can go on a bit of a winning run with some new found depth.

That's got bring the number of players Sydney has suited up to 20 (dev players included).

Dickel & Glider should balance them out a bit.

Dickel could be a good pickup if it turns out. How old is the guy these days and where has he been playing recently?

He's 34 or 35, played in Greece for a really bad team in Greece (Trikalla) for portions of the last couple of years, averaging something like 7p and 4a. Before that he had sucecssful stints in a number of good European leagues, most notably Turkey where he dominated.

That was a while ago, so if he can run the show, find players in the right spots, not turn the ball over and play a little bit of defence the Kings should be happy. With guys like Sanders and Gilder who are natural scorers, the difference between them being good and pretty average in the NBL could well be where Dickel (assuming he is signed) gets them the ball.

Thanks Paul. He has been off the radar for quite some time.

Isaac, have you heard anything more about GC chasing him?

Only what Anstey had wondered aloud. Kings getting him would put Wagner back to development player or out of any meaningful rotation?

Wagner was on a game by game contract from memory? So would he just be released?

He is too, 34 in two weeks. Good get for Sydney, a report said he looked pretty sharp at training.
