Heat @ Bucks, January 7

91-91 at the end of regulation. Overtime!

Bogut has 12 points (4/17 FG), 24 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks.

C'mon Bucks!

(Of note: Unofficial Hoops.com.au mascot Earl Boykins had the bucket with 1.8 seconds remaining to tie it up.)

Edit: Just grabbed his 25th rebound to set a new career high. Three steals is his season-best too.

Edit: Rebound 27 now, but Bucks trail after Boykins misses a three.

Milwaukee need to make some trades if they're gonna make the playoffs this year. They have too many wings and not enough minutes to give to them. They need a new PF that can stretch the floor but bang with the big bodies. And give Corey Maggette more minutes, his an offensive force and should be scoring at least 16ppg on this team.

Shame the Bucks could not get over the line...see Bogut's posterisation of Howard? Nice flush!

Hopefully One HD show this game as their weekly Bucks game on Tuesday night.

Watched Horford give Bogut trouble on OneHD the other day, then saw him yawn his way through a loss to the Bulls. Seems to be punching the clock a bit but could be partly through to the excess of wing players they've accumulated. Tough gig for the small-market teams - do they spend up on "good" players (ala Maggette, Gooden) or do they just bypass free agency all together? Difficult to attract the big names and for Milwaukee, the clock is ticking on Jennings' contract (watch him bolt to New York).

Hopefully Bogut gets the All-star gig he deserves. He'd almost be a starter in the West (!), but should be the third big with Howard and Horford ..... but I wouldn't count on it. 27 rebounds always helps though.

Jennings to New York? LOL and he's contracted there til 2014. Plus he isn't better then Felton. You must remember Bogut still isnt 100% healthy and won't be for the rest of the season. Bogut should start demanding for them to bring some better help and get better balance to start making some noise. They have some players to work with, Jennings, Bogut, Maggette, Salmons, Sanders will be a stud given some time. But for the now they need to offload some of those guards.

I think when the whole team is fit they will start to string together some wins. Delfino and Gooden will help the offence. Bucks need a solid shooting guard and a backup center..Once Redd gets traded or cut they will have the cap space to fill those spots. They only really need 1 or 2 more pieces to solve the puzzle. Very similar season to 09/10 Look for the Bucks to make a move after the All-star break..Either that or trade Bogut to Portland

Bogut is certainly not getting traded, and the Shooting Guard is one of their strong points, John Salmons? They can't cut Redd because they still have to pay his salary, he'll be a good trade chip and nothing more then that. Gooden plays no offence and they really have no need for Delfino with CDR and Maggette plus Mbah a Moute (who needs to get traded as well). They PG, SG, C are all fine. Larry Sanders should be getting more then just the backup C minutes behind Bogut, he's very athletic and helps protects the basket. Bogut and him would create a great defensive frontcourt.

No need for Delfino? Trade Mbah a Moute? Gooden no offence? Shooting guard a strongpoint?

Maggette was acquired to get the bucks to the free throw line. He has been hot and cold and is only recently been crossed to the coaches shit list. CDR, same thing, up and down. Delfino can shoot three's, he was huge last year. Mbah defends, safe to say small forward is covered. out of those 4 i would get rid of Maggette.

Who's the back up shooting guard when Salmons goes cold?

Out of the Power forwards Gooden had been the most disappointing. He is a proven rebounder and scorer in the NBA and can bang down low. Ersan again has been up and down. Good rebounder but misses to many open shots. I agree with BigD's comment on Sanders and can't wait to see him and Bogut protect the paint. But seriously, not the answer as back up center. YET Brockman bangs hard but doesnt have the height. Out of the power forwards i would trade Ersan,

Now for Center. Who's the back up? Look at the big teams. Boston, Miami, L.A ect all have 2 even 3 centers. Bucks should of went hard for Dampier or push for someone like Jermaine O'neal. There gonna struggle against these bigger teams if Bogut get's in foul trouble.

They need a back up center, and a back up shooting guard. Bam

Agree about the value of Delfino. They are missing his ability to stretch the floor. A big part of what made them successful last season IMO is that they could really spread the floor with lineps like Jennings or Ridnour, Salmons, Delfino, Ilyasova and Bogut.

This year, they are not spreading the floor very well and hence they are taking far too many contested shots - especially Salmons - resulting in an abysmal shooting percentage.

I'm hoping they can get fully healthy (I forget if Jennings is expected to come back this season?) and string some wins together in the 2nd half of the season. Would be good to see Bogut finally get a taste of playoff action again this year.

Jennings is expected back just prior to the Allstar break.
