Since when does looking good come into the selection process? and thinking can compete, would have thought the coaches would have picked the team that CAN compete, but nothing surprises me! lol

well i havent said that the best team wasnt picked, just saying that they are undersized, but despite that can still and should be up there for a medal.
So going on what you're saying, NT coaches pick a team that THEY thinks CAN compete, but realistically are they going to NO!

Actually I said nothing about the NT coaches BUT I would think that the NT coaches would never think their team COULD compete as most SA div 2/3 kids could make the NT state team!

Well done to all who have been selected, do SA proud.

As expected, 8 of those boys have come from teams in the top 4.

Eagles very even team, no stand outs or studs but no duds either.

Plus an eagle quit the team after the last cut. Typical.

Lucky to make top 4? Finished 1st after playing everyone once, hardly lucky.
Agree that the draw can either help or hinder finals qualifications with 14 rounds but I dare say most teams will be treating summer season to prepare for winter anyway with finals only a bonus

From what I saw they were probably 6th best team in the comp, having said that with the Mavs losing there best player they may struggle in the winter and forrestville may hang on to a finals spot, west and sturt are very good teams, tigers beat sturt once forrestville twice and nearly got over west on the weekend and they had previously been thrashed by west, had a slip up against Mavs and north but will be dangerous in the winter, so last spot in the final four will be between eagles,Mavs and Norwood

Think that is all they had to choose from in the 6'5+ range in 18 boys

6'9" lad from Centrals a reserve along with 6'6" from South. So yes there were more to choose from but these two lads require polishing and when they do, they will shine.
