Cairns v Gongers

cairns just won a cracker by 1 point to the gongers.

they were behind most of the game and stormed home on the back of veteran phill jones 5/5 -3 pointers.

Great result means we are still in the race . Not to bad from a team not many rated at all and a team that was put together cheap . We still have to win one more but with both being at home we should get one.

pretty sure its away to perth and home to townsville.
was at the game, rhys martin took too many shots that didnt belong to him. gary ervin missed a potential game winning layup. then the refs were happy to let the desperate attempts to foul go unwhistled for the final 8 secs which drew a hostile reaction from the players, the bench and the crowd.

I wondered if Cairns had won.
Seems they were a point up with 8 seconds to go and Wollongong fouled twice in 3 seconds and that's all the stats showed.
So must've been all the fouls in the last 5 seconds
weren't called.

(OK, I've had enough of the foul fest. What else can you show me.)

So, I'd call a tech on McLeod for screaming out
'foul 'em , foul 'em, foul 'em.'

Big game from Phill Jones, nice to see him break out of his shooting slump as of late.

It has been nice to see some points coming from the bench in the last few games. It is something that has been missing all season .
